The Fintech Strategy Conference will be held between 2PM to 4:30PM on 15 October 2015 (Thursday). This conference is jointly-organized by Office of Guil Boo Kang, member of the National Assembly (강길부 의원실), the Seoul Creative Economy and Innovation Center, the Korea Fintech Research Association, and Fintech startup Instapay™.
With the fintech industry being one of the fastest growing industries in the world, a lot of attention has been garnered towards fintech companies and financial institutions. However, one of the biggest stumbling blocks to the development of fintech in Korea is the financial regulations of the country.
The “Fintech Strategy Conference – ICT Industry” conference held on October 15th at the Creative Economy and Innovation Center aims to discuss the policy directions to invigorate fintech and its ecosystem, along with case studies to showcase how fintech can be applied to innovate non-financial industries as well.
The role of InstaPay during this conference is to demonstrate how fintech is able to innovate existing financial platforms such as peer-to-peer (P2P) lending as well as other industries such as home-shopping channels, online retail, and mobile payments.
InstaPay is a mobile payments company that innovates financial services through fintech. It is registered as a mobile payments gateway in the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Korea. InstaPay’s mobile payment for home shopping channels and online channel enables users to ‘buy what you see instantly.’
